local: fourth fun

if you are in the dallas area and looking for a fun family day/night to celebrate the 4th, look no further. here are a few of the fun things going on around town!

addison kaboom town: {july 3rd} rated one of the top places for fireworks in the country this is sure to bring some excitement to your night. always done on the 3rd kaboom town never seems to disappoint.

lone stars + stripes: {july 3rd + 4th} the $5 entry includes the horse races, pony rides, petting zoo, live music, + a 20 minute firework show at the end of the night. (both nights) starts at 3pm + parking is free.

a star spangles spectacular: {july 4th} starting at 1pm the Meyerson Symphony Center is opening its doors to families who want to celebrate in the cool air conditioning. you won't miss out on traditional 4th fun just because you're indoors. complete with hotdogs, music by the dallas wind symphony, + indoor fireworks. the perfect night for newborns.

ranger's texas sized celebration: {july 4th} this is where my family will be celebrating tomorrow night. watch the rangers then enjoy a concert + fireworks following the rangers *victory* against the mariners. starts at 7:05pm

arboretum concert: {july 4th} while there will be no fireworks (you might be able to see them from lakewood cc.) the dallas wind symphony will be playing some of america's favorites. $25/adult + $10/child.

willie nelson picnic: {july 4th} running all day long is the 40th annual willie nelson picnic at the ft. worth stockyards. a country music festival complete with food + fireworks. including willie nelson, randy rogers band, david allan coe, + gary allan to name a few. $35 in advance + $55 at the door.

ft. worth's fourth: {july 4th} complete with tubing, swimming, train rides, bounce houses, + water slides. this is a no miss celebration! what a wonderful way to spend america's birthday with the family.
